The purpose of the project was to analyse the technical and economic viability of the recovery of rags contaminated with organic solvents, paint, grease and industrial oils to use the calorific value of these wastes in industry. To do this it was necessary to know the requirements of industrial furnaces for accepting these wastes as an alternative to conventional fuel and to carry out a pilot scheme for preparing the waste.
