The purpose of the project was to demonstrate that waste from paper plants consisting of polyethylene and aluminium from Tetra Brik packaging can be turned into a good quality raw material suitable for industrial use using any technology available for plastic materials, such as injection moulding, pressing or extrusion.
Industrial application of Tetra Brik packaging waste.
Once the paper plants recover the cellulose from Tetra Brik packaging waste, the remaining waste consists of aluminium and PE. This is subjected to an agglomeration process and then turned into pellets. These pellets can be injected, extruded or pressed to produce very diverse products.
