The purpose of the GreenRubber project has been the development of micronisation technology to obtain powdered rubber from waste tyres. This dust has been mixed and extruded with various thermoplastic polymers to develop granules suitable for the injection moulding of parts used in the car industry.
GreenRubber consortium.
The research and development consortium has consisted of the Hungarian company MicroEurope Kft., a specialist in developing and manufacturing industrial equipment, and ZICLA, which, for this project, has received assistance from the EURECAT technology centre.
